Description
On Saturday, November 14, experience a fiery, rhythmic journey to the Southern Hemisphere with Astor Piazzolla’s The Four Seasons of Buenos Aires.
This masterpiece reimagines the spirit of the tango through a sophisticated classical lens. From the brooding intensity of "Winter" to the explosive energy of "Summer," join us in this vibrant new setting for an unforgettable evening that bridges the gap between the concert hall and the streets of Argentina. Come early and enjoy refreshments in the foyer. Showtime begins at 7 p.m.
This performance serves as a live audition for the second Conductor & Music Director Finalist, Alex Amsel. As Associate Conductor of the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra and former Resident Conductor of Houston Grand Opera, Amsel is a dynamic Argentinian Mexican conductor recognized for his vibrant musicality and community outreach. He has led productions at Utah and Houston Operas and conducted at major international festivals including Aspen and Romania’s George Enescu Festival.
